Aloha, my Professional Massage career of over 31 years will give you the assurance that your education with me will open many doors of quality health care to your future clients and patients.
I, Geno Ortiz L.M.T. have been licensed in Hawaii for over 31 years. My anatomy related education was "pre-medical" at: Whittier College, Long Beach State University, and the University of Oregon. I have worked for numerous Professional Sports teams, Hotels, Cruise Ships, rehabilitation centers, and medical establishments. I am honored to have been selected by the International Olympic Committee to serve on the "World's Massage Team" for the Winter and Summer Olympic Games. I have the great fortune of receiving honors and commendations from the International Olympic Committee, Los Angeles Olympic Committee, and the Governor of Hawaii.

I assure that your quality educaton of anatomy and hands on skills are the best that any training center can offer.

1. PRE-LICENSING COURSES: My courses are State and accredited. My 34 years of professional experience (hotels, cruise ships, pro sports teams, clinics, etc) is superior to any other massage school or training center.
2. APPRENTICE/EDUCATION PROGRAM: The State of Hawaii requires this program which follows the "Pre-Licensing Course" mentioned above. Advanced training courses, clinical application, involvement in the "Student Massage Clinic", marketing/ethics are the State required part of this eduation. The unique system created here is unlike any other. Overall, there is no other "economy friendly" program as my system, found in Hawaii.
3. ADVANCED TRAINING FOR THE PROFESSIONAL, CEU CREDITS: These "world class" techniques are superior. Muscular massage therapy (MMT) has been requested and provided to: the Winter and Summer Olympic Games, Professional Beach Volleyball Association, chiropractic and orthopedic rehabilitation centers, hotels, cruise ships, professional sports teams, and for therapeutic and relaxation purposes. I also offer workshops in Hawaii and on the mainland for the "Licensed Professional" who wants to learn our specialized techniques.

MUSCULAR MASSAGE WORKSHOPS, HAWAII ISLAND

My intensives will enhance the quality/outcome of your therapeutic treatments, elevate demands for your therapy, and increase your earning potential.
Are you tired of wiping skin and HOPING you might affect the underlying muscles? Are you confused as to which muscle or muscles might be the target for therapy? Confused how to properly manipulate that muscle, or muscles once you identify them? Your clients will be thrilled with your new techniques and knowledge achieved during our courses. You will master effective and proven muscular massage hands on techniques, study advanced muscular and skeletal anatomy, pain anatomy, interaction/teamwork of skeletal and muscular systems, contraindications, pain/injury assessment, and self-care therapy and prevention.

Classes are conducted at my Center on Alii Dr. in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. I will soon be offering C.E. workshops on the Mainland.

You can organize a group, and I will conduct your custom workshop in beautiful Pahala, 12 minutes from historic Punalu'u Black Sands Beach. Resonably priced lodging is available. Depending on your number of participants, lodging will be either in the magnificient 2 story Pahala Plantation House, or in classic cottages in Pahala town.

In the historic Pahala Plantation House, there are: 7 bedrooms: 3 rooms have 2 beds, 3 rooms have Queen beds, and 1 room has a King bed. Room selection is based on "first come/first served". Come with a group of your friends and cut lodging costs! The large kitchen is available for all guests use.

FAMILY MASSAGE INSTRUCTION

In addition to the 2 1/2 day Muscular Massage Intensive Series, Geno is offering a series of "Family Massage" classes. These classes will take place in the newly restored "Pahala Clubhouse", another beautiful historic building in Pahala.

Simply put, these classes will teach effective, yet in layman's terms, hands on skills to help relieve daily aches and discomforts commonly found within familes. Call for additional information.
